I don't fly myself. I'm strictly an observer - worse, one with her head in the office. I work there.
These pages spawn from a personal interest in *vintage*, mostly second hand, aviators' biographies. I love these old texts, the old enthusiasm and wonder that shines through in them. Some of the more obscure Dutch, German and French originals on this site I translated myself - for the fun of it - as I feel they deserve to be there too. Omissions happen just because I did not find them yet - hardly ever because I didn't like the book...
Of course I would like to know how I am doing with "Plane Writing".
I would like to hear any comments or suggestions you could have.

I tried to keep this site as light as possible, filling pages with content (as I should) but I also used frames, JavaScript and pictures. This is the way the web grows, I think... Please let me know if you encounter any mishaps, error messages or alerts! Or just turn off JavaScript and see Plane Writing the unelegant way.
I have no browser preferences, but due to the scripting these pages look their best with either Netscape 3 or 4, or MSIE 4, on a PC.
